After the 2021 Leadership Forum, Brian Haines of Legacy Mechanical returned home with new ideas, inspiration, and a different mindset ready to lead his team to success. Prior to the forum, Legacy Mechanical already had their core values – quality, commitment, and integrity – for 10 years, but Haines and all other attendees learned to remind their employees of the core values to shape company culture and improve business strategy. “I was recently promoted to Service Manager, and I knew we needed a change for employee morale,” Haines said, so he chose to highlight their core values.

Even after 10 years, not all employees could recite the three values, so Haines understood that if he was going to do something, it had to be big. Now, every time any individual walks inside the office, the words “quality,” “commitment,” and “integrity” are plastered on the wall as a constant and bold reminder. The sheets were made in Legacy Mechanical’s own shop. “These values help us create a purpose, improve team cohesion, and create a sense of commitment in the workplace,” Haines said. Not only is Haines looking to create more success within the office, but he is also trying to create a more cohesive team that is constantly reminded of quality, commitment, and integrity.
