After the 2022 Service Management Forum, Chris Flores of Midstate Energy went back to Phoenix, AZ inspired with new ideas. One topic in particular stuck out to them. Mike Meadows of A&G Services presented on their company’s recent implementation of team leads. Flores went back home and decided to begin preparing.

“Service has been pretty successful,” Flores said, “especially with our Small Projects Lead.” The implementation has left a positive impact on the management team, and will potentially provide success in the future succession of the Service Supervisor role. “A lot of the success comes from clear expectations of the leads and having them create expectations with their teams,” Flores said. Last year, Midstate Energy successfully implemented six team leads, with the intention to find what works, and design roles within their electrical, solar, and EMS departments.
