Ricky Ramos with Intech Mechanical recently reached out to the BIM group on The Unified Group’s email tool for assistance with some Revit modeling, as they were up against a tight deadline and needed additional support. Several contractors in the group suggested potential resources, and they eventually connected with Mark Galek at Legacy Mechanical, who was quick to offer assistance. Originally, they had discussed a three-week duration for two detailers, but there were a few hiccups on their side with obtaining design information that caused delays. Despite these setbacks, Mark and his team were incredibly accommodating, understood the situation and stayed flexible.
The detailers, Matt Turmell and Elijah Martin, were extremely knowledgeable and efficient. They handled the modeling with great care, delivering high-quality work that exceeded expectations. They were able to complete the project faster than anticipated, which helped manage costs and kept them on track. The Legacy team’s professionalism and expertise were key to helping them stay within budget and timeline. Mark has also noted that working with Mike Huddleston and Gregg Kennedy from Intech was a great experience.
In addition to helping them meet their project goals, working with Legacy provided valuable insight into how another company operates, especially when it comes to software and collaboration. Legacy was able to see firsthand how Intech handles everyday project issues, and as a result, they decided to adopt the same detailing software they use. This software is already proving to be a great asset to their projects, and it’s been beneficial to both companies in terms of improving overall teamwork and communication.
Both companies’ teams were happy with their overall performance and they’re looking forward to working together again in the future. Together we make the difference!
