Long-time executives Brian Martinenza and Jake Emerson have acquired the business from former owner Carl Wolf, marking a deliberate and stable succession for the company. The transition is the culmination of a plan set in motion in 2017. With a combined 33 years of tenure at Service Unlimited, the new owners bring a deep familiarity with the company’s operations, culture, and client base. 

 "This is a passing of the torch, not a change of direction," said Brian Martinenza, who serves as President. "We have been effectively co-leading the business for the last three years. Our clients know us, our vendors know us, and our team knows us. We are committed to honoring the 50-year legacy Carl built while evolving to meet the modern demands of the industry."

 Leadership with Complementary Strengths 

The new ownership structure leverages distinct areas of expertise, ensuring comprehensive leadership across the organization:
  • Brian Martinenza (President) brings 21 years of industry experience, holding a Master’s HVAC license in Delaware and Maryland and a degree in Business and Economics from McDaniel College. He will continue to drive corporate leadership, focusing on empowering the team, fostering growth, and ensuring employee well-being.
  • Jake Emerson (Vice President) brings 12 years of experience, rising from the field to leadership. Holding a degree in Education from the University of Delaware, he oversees the Projects department focusing on setting the standard through action, demonstrating the desired work ethic, and pushing projects forward with efficiency and productivity.
 A Focus on People and Purpose 

While the leadership remains consistent, the company is sharpening its focus on workforce development which may be the most critical factor in today’s trade environment.  "We believe that commercial HVAC is about more than equipment and tasks; it’s about the people inside the buildings," said Jake Emerson. They will ensure their technicians are not just capable but are connected and fully aligned with the company’s core values.
