Carol Duncan, CEO of General Sheet Metal, has been named to the Daily Journal of Commerce’s Oregon 250, a distinguished recognition honoring Oregon’s most influential and accomplished professionals.

Over her 43-year career, Carol has played a pivotal role in shaping Oregon’s construction industry. Her leadership helped grow General Sheet Metal from a few million dollars in annual revenue to more than $60 million and guided the company’s transition from a graduated women-owned business to a 100% employee-owned organization- reflecting her deep commitment to workforce empowerment and shared success.

Carol has consistently broken barriers, becoming the first woman contractor elected to the SMACNA College of Fellows in 2011 and serving as only the second woman president of SMACNA from 2023–2024. Her influence has extended to the national level, including testifying before Congress on union pension reform.

The Oregon 250 recognizes leaders whose vision and dedication drive Oregon’s economy forward. Carol’s philosophy of building success together is evident in her focus on developing people, transforming communities and uniting teams around ambitious goals.

Congratulations, Carol, on this well-deserved honor!
