Giving Back:
It’s no secret that the more you put into something, the more you get back. Tom Barker (Guardian Environmental Services) has been living by this principle since Guardian first joined the group years ago. Earlier this month, Tom shared a business opportunity with Steve Harvey (Soefker Services). Over the past few years Guardian has been working with a company in Michigan and developing a partnership with their Midwest manager. When Tom was asked if Guardian could do an install in Memphis, he didn’t hesitate to reach out to fellow Unified Group member, Soefker Services. “I explained The Unified Group and that we have a good contractor in our group that I could have complete the project for them,” said Tom. “It’s great that I have a company I can trust with our good customers and am able to help a fellow member and friend get some additional work – all because of being in The Unified Group.” The lead resulted in a $138k opportunity for Soefker and a happy customer for Guardian.

Getting the Support You Need:
A few weeks later, Tom reached out to the group for help via the Construction Email Tool. He posted his question (he was looking for recommended air changes and temperature for a buildout that was outgassing VOCs) on Sunday and by Monday morning he got four responses and enough information (documents, spreadsheets, etc.) to handle the situation. “It’s great to have resources like this,” said Tom.
