At each session, our members fill out takeaways and share their new goals, our 2017 Service Leaders Forum was no different. Matt Blauch, of Blauch Brothers, Inc., gathered with over 25 like-minded HVAC Service professionals to discuss an array of topics including change and growth within companies, motivating millennials, finding, training and retaining great service technicians, and communication.
The session hit home for Blauch when he heard that many companies struggled holding technicians accountable for filling out paperwork. He decided this would be his takeaway from the 2017 session. Blauch knew it was time for a different method and through discussion and communication, he stayed the course with his technicians. He stressed the importance of filling out paperwork before they put the vans in drive, having one-on-one conversations when needed and offered to re-train his employees if need be.
Blauch says since this forum, his technicians have improved tremendously. His company is seeing an abundance of success from this implementation and is happy with the outcome.
