Upon returning from the 2020 Sales Forum, Tim Johnson, Estimator of Business Development for Blauch Brothers, Inc., successfully applied a Sales Technique for Millennials presented by Sales Manager, Chris Reiter of A&G Services.
If you want to sell to millennials, you have to understand what they really want, market in a way that resonates with their core values and provide a digital experience since they are a tech-savvy bunch. “Millennials are on the phone much of the time, so encourage them to give you their cell number so you may text them.” said Reiter.
Learning how different generations operate helped Tim Johnson get a project back on track simply by sending a text message to the vendor and within five minutes, the vendor responded. “This vendor wouldn’t answer or return phone calls not to mention the emails I’ve sent. I applied the sales technique for millennials that I learned at the meeting, and it works! It was a pleasure to have participated in the Sales Forum; I’m sure everyone took home some “new tools” to apply in their everyday lives,” says Johnson.
